View most of the Riverside Paintings at the Crome Gallery, Elm Hill, Norwich.
These were painted when the old riverside buildings were really derelict and in need of repair. They were former textile warehouses, a former paper mill, a converted flour mill and colman’s factory (of mustard fame)
The buildings have mostly been renovated and turned into smart riverside apartments. Its sometimes more interesting painting dereliction with all its rust, decay ,dirt, algae and moss than pristine perfection.
